Zakee Shariff presented her solo exhibition Follow The Light, a series of screen-prints and paintings at Exposure Gallery, London.

FOLLOW THE LIGHT

Launched on 9 September 2015, Zakee Shariff’s new solo exhibition Follow The Light sees the artist present a new series of screen prints and paintings at Exposure Gallery (London). The exhibition is a sequel to her previous show, Searching For Light (London/Zürich).

Centered around healing and a journey of the soul, the artist has created an immersive exhibition with the ultimate aim of forming an emotional connection with the viewer.

The display highlights Shariff’s interdisciplinary practice within the visual arts and is linked to her interest in mysticism and spirituality. Trained as a healer, Shariff has been fascinated by the gift of healing and honoring the personal shadow as well as the light that comes with it. This work is a visual manifestation of that ongoing journey and through it the artist hopes to connect people to their own spirituality.
