Last week Zakee found the original artwork & mock up for her book, “With Love, Zakee Shariff” , designed in 2004 by Luke Lobely and art directed by Alice Cowling. Together they brought her world to life.
The book was a celebration of some of what Zakee & her team had created in the studio between 1994 to 2004. Unfortunately just as the book was about to the print, the publisher went bust and the book was never printed.
It is with a heavy heart that Zakee recently heard that Luke the designer, passed away on the 8th April 2026. He was a great talent and much too young to leave us.
What Zakee didn’t know when she found the book art, was that it was on the very day Luke was being laid to rest. Zakee felt this was no coincidence.
The ZS Studio wanted to honour Luke & how he touched Zakee’s life at the time, by sharing some of the images of his hard work. These are a handful of the low res layout images from the 128 page book.
