In 2007, DJ Al Fingers compiled a mixtape entitled Stardust to accompany Zakee’s collection of the same name (see it here). Featuring Jill Scott, Minnie Riperton, Israel Kamakawiwo’ole and Brian Eno among others, the mix is Al Fingers’ musical interpretation of Zakee’s work, and revolves around a central celestial theme as sung by Joni Mitchell in her song Woodstock: “We are stardust, we are golden, and we’ve got to get ourselves back to the garden”.
